Happy New Year my friends! This is my last post of 2011 and it has been a great year creatively! I would like to dedicate my last post to my scrappy sweets Michelle! In our home she is known as my scrappy wife! I met Michelle through the Let's Scrap site that I was a DT for from August to November. We started up in the introduce yourself discussion and we've been crafty BFF's ever since! We live hours apart but have taken up a card swap! And today I am showcasing some of my dear friends work! Leave her some scrappy love as I think she should start her own blog to show off her amazing talent! Michelle has been an amazing gift to me all around and I hope in this New Year, you my fellow bloggers are as lucky as I to meet a new friend that has inspired me, picked me up and warmed my heart! She is more than just a crafty friend... I love her like a sister :) She is good for my soul! MUAH XOXO

All the best in the New Year!

School's In!

I discovered Miss Arts when I was perusing Sarah Webb’s blog, and came across the Miss Art’s Blinkie. I clicked and my world forever changed! As most of you know I am a busy lady! I work full time out of the home, married with three young children all under the age of 4! and I am addicted to scrapbooking/card making! Actually, scrapbooking and I just celebrated our two year anniversary together!
Since started scrapbooking I’ve always tried picking up things here and there. But let’s face it there are so many magazine’s, blogs, you tube video’s out there that at times it seems a little over whelming! You never know what you are going to get! What I love about Miss Arts classes is you know what you are going to get! Not only do you get the class description, products used,  you also get a brief video. I think this is perfect! As at times I’ve taken a look at the description and sat there and though uhhhh I don’t know...but see the video and well I then have to see what it is all about. I also love the format of the class, the format is for all learning types! I like how it alternates with videos, pictures and text. the broken video segments are great for me as most of the time I don’t have time to sit through an hour of tutorials but the manner in which the video’s are broken up are perfect.  I love the variety of the classes and teachers! They all compliment each other! As an example, the Simply Stylish Lesson 3 talks about misting which is fabulous but there is also the Demystifying Mist class which the various techniques are amazing and completely different!
Finding this site has been great! Everything is in one spot! I would love to see Miss Art add classes/tutorials on photography or photo enhancement. A class on tips for storage and organizing. A Copic, class/tutorial would be awesome!!!
What I especially enjoyed and not expected is the detail of the classes and teachers. I have come across a few sites that say they will teach you the tricks of the trade but in the end don’t tell you too much. Not at Miss Art’s! These ladies are here to help you grow your craft! You can find this in their pledge to you as a student!

Dave and I have always tried to get family pictures done before Christmas. With three so young you can image how difficult it can be. But Barb and Cherie captured them beautifully. I decided to use a sketch from Creative Sketches #186 to show case the fabulous picture! I actually only used cardstock. Made the flowers and the title using my CTMH cartridge.

Scrap That December Sketch Challenge

Today I have a sketch from the very talented Robin at Scrap That.
Here is our latest family picture taken by a very talented lady Barb Weir. I used some Pion paer, prima flowers, bling, Tim Holtz ink, Prima letters. I did some background stamping, made my own flowers to add and used most of all the goodies in my Scrap That Kit.

Thanks a latte!! Yummy

It has been a crazy week for me. I am not getting much scrapping done and today well let's just say was one of those days. A few nights ago I decided to color in my favorite Kraftin Kimmie Stamp. The weekly challenge was to create something you are thankful for...for me and this is serious! I am thankful for my morning coffee!!! Let me tell you about my day! Things were going pretty good, dropped my daughter off at school, made it to work in good time to finish up my year end review. Reach for my coffee which my dear husband made for me ( I love it when he makes the coffee) and realized it was in the van (which is parked at the end of the lot). Grab my sweater and sprint out to the van to find out that it will not open??? The Fob is not working?? Now it just so happens I had my husbands fob also and it didn't work either! So if they are both not working what are the chances that it is something electrical?!?! Go back in call the dealership who help me figure out there is a hidden key in it...!! I don't know what was more exciting being able to get into the van or getting my coffee!!! lol The day was just as crazy with getting the car fixed, completing reviews and just everyday life. So I was Thankful for my husband's great coffee that I left in the van that led me to discover sooner rather than at 430 there was something wrong with the van! I would have died if I would have discovered this at the end of the day, knowing my daughter was waiting for me...it would have killed me! So tonight decided to take some me time and make this card! The layout is based on the sketch from CPS -Card Sketches and the color's from the Scrap That card/tag challenge and here we have it! I used Simple Stories Paper and for the moment can't tell you the Copics I used, glue dots, diamond Stickles.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday!
