Sweet Family

Today I am sharing a layout I created for my friend Barb. My photographer is awesome, she and Cheri have given me the best family picture memories. She has an amazing little family. Here is my layout using the Prima  Time Traveler Memories, Creative Embellishment wood pieces.  I was at the SGD retreat and it was awesome. Surrounded by such creativity. I attemped a technique learned from Marilyn Rivera. Watch her video here.

My layout was based on this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. Which was also the sketch used for the DT call.

My love, my heart and my soul

On May 15th, Nadia from Once Upon A Sketch wrote a very personal post about taking time for herself and her family. It was a very moving and touching post. It got me thinking about my own life and everything that has happened in the last couple of years. And the "anything" I have chosen for my layout is to scrap about my husband Dave. My journaling is very private to him and on the back of my page. What I will say is my husband is amazing. I am lucky to have him. He is my love, my heart and my soul.

This is the sketch that I based my layout on.

I used Prima-Time-Travelers-Memories and Creative Embellishment Moroccan Lattice Panel and a this amazing stamp. I also used Prima Color Bloom sprays.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Life isn't about ...

My sister is the strongest young woman I know. Her favorite quote is "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain". When Kim showed me this stamp and the doll I jumped at the chance to create a layout for my sister. I spent the weekend at SGD retreat

I stamped the Prima Doll on various Prima-Time-Travelers-Memories papers. I fussy cut the various layers of the doll.

I used Creative Embellishments Moroccan Lattice Panel. I also added some lovely Prima flowers.

I used Viva Decor for her hair.

Stars

Here is a mix media page I made at the SGD retreat this weekend. These two kids are amazing! There is not a challenge or a sport they can't take on! And they have one amazing Mama!

My layout is based on week 2 Let's Get Sketchy Sketch. The pictures should be going in the same direction but due to a slight glue incident I had switch it up. Only I can glue my fingers together and a picture the wrong way! LOL

Faber-Castell - Glass Bead Glitter Gel.  I also used Creative Embellishement Stars

I am challenging myself to use up my Christmas paper for non Christmas layouts. These are MME and Fancy Pants paper.

I love the Tim Hotlz and Memory box Stencils.

Lucky in Love

Hello, Today I am sharing a layout I create based on Let's Get Sketchy Week 1 Sketch. This past weekend I was at the SGD retreat and had time to create.

I flipped the sketch. I used only one photo with layers behind the picture.

I used the new Prima Time Traveler Memories collection. Love the papers, flowers and embellishments. My new favorite product is the Creative Embellishments. For this page I used the Photo Corner and the Lucky in Love saying.

Love how this turned out. Thank you so much for stopping by

#Love

Hello,

Today I am sharing another canvas I made based on My Creative Sketches May Sketch Challenge.

I picked up Prima Color Bloom Spray Sultry Shimmer Cobalt and love the vibrant color. The Viva Decor - Inka Gold - Gold Paint really came out on the Creative Embellishment Mini Ornament Frame. I used my new Memory Box Stencils Stardust Mini Stencil with Dreamweaver paste mix with Wild Honey ink.  I put my Cuttlebug to work today, I love the Memory Box Precious Stars Die and Sizzix Star Die.

My layout is based on this awesome sketch. I flipped the sketch to the side.

I added a bit of bling, to compliment the stars.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week.

You are my sunshine

Today I am sharing a canvas I created for the Creative Embellishment May Challenge.

The above photo was the inspiration mix with a sketch.

I love the bright flowers in the beautiful sun. And if I was standing in that field with my kids, they would be running through all the flowers. Charlie would be doing his super speed. My youngest is always full of energy.

I used the Mini Brick Panel from Creative Embellishment. I cut pieces of the panel, painted it black and added a light coat of Viva Decor Gold. The Paper is from Echo Park  This & That Charming. I mix Tim Holtz Wild Honey ink with Dreamweaver embossing paste and used Memory Box Stardust Mini Stencil.

I used Viva Decor Gold paint on the star and on the edges of the canvas.

Love this sticker, Charlie's favorite song.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day.

A quick post today. I made this box for my mom for Mother's Day. I had the chance to spend the weekend with two of my favorite friends/scrappers. They inspire me on so many levels.
I received my Creative Embellishment order a few days ago and could not wait to play with the beautiful pieces. A few weeks ago, Tammy a Creative Embellishments DT member made an amazing Steampunk decorative OTP project.
Here is what I created.

Love my Prima Color Bloom Spray Sparklin Pastel Cotton Candy which I misted over my BoBunny Paper. I then primed my Creative Embellishment Page Corner chipboard to oposing edges of my box. On the top I added various flowers from Prima and Petaloo. Butterflies and hearts using my punches. Prima wood buttons. Added Pearls and a key from K & Company.

Please forgive my gesso hands in the picture.

Enjoy the day!

Today at SGD enjoy free shipping! Details can be found here.

You fill my world with Sunshine!

Last month I participated in a sketch challenge at My Creative Sketches and won!!! That post can be found here. The prize, this beautiful kit pictured below.

It has been a crazy two weeks, but finally today, I had the chance to play with this beautiful kit. Today, is also National Scrapbook Day, Free Comic Book Day and the start of our family movie marathon of Star Wars. (May 4th - is International Star Wars Day. May the fourth be with you.). We truly are a geeky family. A few months ago at an  SGD class I took a canvas class. I am now loving making canvas layouts. This is one that I made for my daughter.

I first started using this yummy kit on a layout but soon glanced over and saw the canvas just waiting! Using my CW stencil and my Dreamweaver paste added texture.

Loved the over sized flowers.

Using the sticker sheet, I fussy cut some of the elements from journaling cards and layered them.

Butterflies are my favorite and the kit was filled with beautiful wood butterflies.

Hope you are having a great weekend. Happy National Scrapbooking Day.
