Beautiful Butterfly

I am so excited for Cari to come teach at Scrappin Great Deals in April. I took her class last year when she came to Ontario and it was such an amazing experience. See all classes here

She introduced me to the Forever Green - Spread Your Wings Prima Paper line.

I fell in love with this collection and have been holding on to this paper for almost a year. I loved the beautiful butterflies.

So what got me to use this lovely paper collection that I was holding onto for all this time???? The Scrap Africa mood board #47. My eye was drawn to the beautiful yellow butterfly. I loved the bright vibrant color of the board. The color just popped. Therefore, I decided to use bright flowers, and this picture of my daughter in her  beautiful bright dress.

The base of my layout was from this beautiful sketch from Sue Sykes at Canadian Scrapbooker. This is such a fun challenge sketchy challenge.

I love the bright colored flowers that popped out of the corner cluster.

I had the chance to use all those fabulous butterflies from my Prima Paper and of course my favorite chipboard piece from Creative Embellishment. I also love my stamp from Unity Stamps: Jars of Love

Another close up. Lori would be so proud of all my fussy cutting :)

Have a great day!

Focused

Today I am sharing a layout I created for the

The layout was based on the Prima Sketch below. I tried to stay close to the sketch.
I chose to use the Prima Engraver collection.
I adore my Prima Bloom Cobalt Color and chose it has my base.
The Leaf dies and flowers are also from Prima.
Cari Fennell introduced me to these lovely dies last year when she was teaching at Scrappin Great Deals last year. And I am counting down the days till her return!
Find all her fabulous classes here

My middle child loves Lego and if you want to see a child focus put Lego in front of him. Hence my page title.
I have a little hidden journalling behind this page.

The inspiration of the layout came from the Scrap Around The World Mood board. The minute I saw the Lego man I knew it screamed my son.

I loved the white to blue chevron picture and choose to follow that color scheme. A little darker color with the Cobalt Prima Bloom but LOVE how it turned out.
Especially since my son loves blue.

I can't of course create a layout without using a piece from one of my favorite chip board manufactures

I painted the I <3 added="" adhered="" and="" blue="" cardstock="" frame="" glitter.="" i="" nbsp="" some="" then="" to="" u="" white="">

A few more close ups. Tried to sneak in a few chevrons.

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day.

Dream

Hello,

Today I am sharing a canvas I made inspired by 3 fabulous challenges.

The layout was inspired by Scrap Our Stash Challenge.

The twist was to add a GOLD embellishment.
I added gold flowers, and I embellished the Creative Embellishment fairy wing set with gold Glitter Ritz

I also used gold ink on my larger tag.

The colors of the canvas were inspired by the Prima Color Pallett.

Below is the small cluster on the top right corner or the canvas. All Prima products used: flowers, Stamp, trinket, Butterfly , Color Bloom and Crystals. The butterfly flourish are covered with Glitter Ritz

Leafs are from a beautiful Prima Die. Love the Prima Flowers. The Prima Doll is from various Prima Paper lines.

And now for the lovely chippies which are from Creative Embellishments blog! Their challenge was to use a flourish piece and be inspired by the below image. I loved the butterfly and added the wings to the Prima Doll. I loved the flow of the flowers and mimicked them at the bottom of my Doll.
I used my Crafter Workshop Stencil and created the vine like swirls.

Here is the beautiful butterfly flourish

I cut this piece into 3 and covered with teal Glitter Ritz.

Thank you for stopping by have a great day!

SGD MARCH MOOD BOARD

Hello crafty friends,

Today we have a special guest designer Laura and it is the reveal of the March Mood Board! Hope you will join us, be inspired and play!

(All images were located from pinterest)

Here is Laura's take on the mood board.

Laura was inspired by the flowers on the mood board and all these beautiful flowers were hand cut by Laura! Please make sure to stop and leave her some love on her blog. Laura's blog.

Thank you so much for joining us Laura! Love your fabulous creation!

And here is what the Diva's created this month!

Trish

When I saw the images of the Mood Board the first thing I thought of was The Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime Collection that was used in the one photo, it's one of my favorites, so I used some of the papers from the collection in my card!! Combined with the other photos it made me think of the start of spring. It is a magical time of year when everything is beginning again, renewing from the ice and cold of winter to a rainbow of colors and smells! What could be more magical than that! So I created a card where looking out a window you can see the fairies dancing and rejoicing with the beginning of spring!! The Queen of the Fairies is greeting and announcing the "News of Spring" with her magical wand!! I hope you like my creation! I hope that you have as much fun as I did!

I adore Trish's take on the challenge!

Lynn

I love the colors of the mood board, especially the blue. The flowers and butterflies made me think of blossoming spring. As I was going through some pictures found this one of my daughter whom had actually written "S loves mommy" and created a family picture. She was only 4 in this picture and could not believe how she was blossoming.

Lori

Lori was inspired by the flowers and the vibrant colors. (Wow can you believe the talent! There are no words)

last but not least we have our own ....

Scrappin' Sheila.
