35 Months Casey

DSC08672 by lynnshaffer79

A few weeks ago we had family pictures taken by Barb Weir. Which I am in love with so you are going to see a lot of them in the next couple of weeks in my pages! This month at Let's Scrap their are a few challenges happening. The first is January's Load Challenge in which you make a layout a day (so for this month 31). The second challenge is 100 layouts in 2012. For this challenge only pages count. So keeping this in mind, you know me and competition with myself! I am all for it! Plus the die cutting challenge at SOUS is to use snowflakes! So along with the sketch from Let's Scrap here is what I came up with. I used the left side of the sketch and changed things around. Instead of the banner I used snowflakes my pictures just weren't fitting right so I swapped one picture for the journal section and included the hidden journaling also in the tag with the ribbon.  Using last years BoBunny Christmas paper created this page filled with snowflakes and using my cricut cut out and layered my snowflakes! I did a lot of distressing and added in some journalling. Behind the page there is also a tag with more personal journalling to my son. Now with this being said my personal scrappy resolutions this year are to journal more and use my scraps and paper! I have soooo much... I have to get over my love of paper and collecting it and start using it. BoBunny is one of my favorites and well when a new line comes out I buy two packs. One to use and the other to keep. Well no more...I cracked that pack open to play with! So products used, BoBunny paper and stickers, Tim Holtz distress inks (decided to do the purple), ribbon from my stash and a little viva pearl.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Let's Scrap Card Challenge October

Welcome Friends! Every third Wednesday of the month we get an amazing card sketch at Let's Scrap.

Now I have to be honest today is August 9th! When I saw this Card Sketch I had to!! I had to do it right away!

Here is my take on it! I used Bobunny Vicki B paper and floral stamp. Kaiser Craft stamp for the sentiment. Used my MS punch for the beautiful butterfly and added misc bling on the end of the flourish stamp. On the top left had corner attempted to create glass pearls using Viva Decor!

Sisters and Let's Scrap

Good morning, well again this week I got to play with Cheri's amazing sketch! This is one of my favorite sketches as it gave me the chance to showcase my many pictures of my sister and I. I think I've said it before but when my sister was a child you could not put a camera in front of her or she would cry so her baby pictures are limited and then in the early years we were just always so busy that photo's are few and far between. Plus I'm not sure who had the camera back then but their are a lot of pictures with cut off heads and lots of wall space. Thank God for digital now!
A few weeks ago I participated in the SGD garage sale. If you have never been you really need to go and check it out. I submitted a box and came back with a nice little profit! In which I purchased the new BoBunny line! I also used my MS punch and my favorite Cricut Cartridge from CTMH. Tim Holtz Ink and ribbon from my stash. I am all about the distressing so I tried to use layers upon layers!

I have been stalking ah I mean following Shona's blog for some time and was always in awe of her talent! I was thrilled to see that she was a fellow Canadian but most of all that Scrap That was a Canadian kit company. So I joined the site to take a look and feel in love... then after a few exchanges with Shona realized this kit could be for me! So earlier this month using Cheri's Let's Scrap Sketch made this layout with my first kit! Then shocked that it was picked for inspiration of the week!!!!
