Say Cheese

It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon today. April showers have apparently given me spring sniffles. Every weekend there is something on the go but I just couldn't this weekend. Worked on a few projects and laundry. I decided to play along with a sketch from My Creative Sketches

For this project I used the original mama razzi BoBunny Collection.

I cut out flags and used buttons from my collection. The film strip was cut using my cricut. Adding a little drywall tape for texture.

Using a little Dreamweaver and Tim Holtz stencils added more texture. I also used my BoBunny texture stamp.

I also tried to play with Dylusion Inks and Viva Decor. Thrilled I took out this collection from my stash.

Have a great week!

The Peaceful Heart finds Beauty in all things.

Happy Saturday!

It is a lazy kind of day for our family today. A few kids have stuffy noses and Dave and I are catching up on laundry. I had some time this morning to play with some of my mix media goodies, so I made this canvas for our master bedroom .

Today I went all out in my little world. The Dusty Attic chipboard saying I've been holding onto for years. Yes, you read that right. I love the saying so much that I wanted to use if for the perfect project. The butterflies are also from the Gabrielle collection from BoBunny that I've again had for a few years. I covered my canvas with BoBunny paper, misted it with Dylusions Ink Spray. and using my Dreamweaver Embossing Paste with my Crafter's Workshop Reverse Chickenwire template.

I have a chipboard piece again from the BoBunny Gabrielle collection, along with Prima flowers and Petaloo White Wild Blossom

I have a few more projects on the way.
Have a fabulous day.

Keep Calm and Try not to Laugh

Hello! Today I am sharing a layout I created for my upcoming April 12th class at SGD.

I absolutely love the "Keep Calm and Try not to Laugh" saying on this journaling card. It is perfectly suited for my son! He is one crazy fun and loving little man. The ticket sheet was perfect for my border across this double layout. Kits will be available. You can't go wrong for the young adventurer in your life. More than a few worked for my little ones :)

I am loving my stencils and my background stamps. Sheila must have realized my new passion as she put on an amazing sale on all Memory Box Stencils. For this layout I used Rings and Puddles Stencil with a little Dreamweaver embossing paste.

Well, one day closer to the weekend. Have a great day!

Classique Elegant

Happy Thursday! Only 57 days till the SGD Retreat. Well actually I never sleep the night before as I am always so excited so maybe I can say 56?

Today I am sharing a page I made with Authentique - Classique Elegant papers. I am normally a one page layout kind of girl but this time tried a double page.

Love the Petaloo flowers, especially the white one's that you can ink up to match your layout. I used Tim Holtz Wild Honey ink for the flowers and paper edges.

I love flower clusters and using all the various pattern papers.

I also decided to do a little mix media by using Dreamweaver embossing paste. I colored it a little before applying to my stencil to have a color match.

Here are a few more close ups of this amazing paper collection!

Have a great week.

Oh Sweetheart

Good morning!

Hope you are having a fabulous day. First,  I will admit that I have an addiction to paper! I can't hide it! Yes, Valentine's Day was a couple of weeks ago but who could resist this line  by Doodlebug-Designs. This line is a perfect mix for journaling and capturing those sweet pictures of your valentine's!

I love the valentine's tickets! These tickets are double sided, if you are not into the mushy, the reverse side will be perfect for you! So many possibilities!

It is all about Love ...

It was a busy week at work. Last night, I came home to hubby having dinner on the table. I was so exhausted that I was in bed by 7. No surprise that I was up at 430 this morning. All was quiet in the house and I had some crafting time. Love the new Jilibean Soup - Heart Healthy Red Bean Soup collection and used two of the yummy papers from the collection, along with black, white and Kraft card stock. I also used Crate Paper Love Notes chipboard pieces {which I LOVE} to my layout.

The theme was inspired by Colorful Creations: It is all about Love challenge. My layout is based on Creative Scrappers sketch 261

Using my Cricut I cut out hearts on Kraft card stock and stamped them with various background stamps.

Clustered hearts and arrows everywhere. Framing my favorite picture from Barb Weir Photography.

Love these tickets which I've popped up.

More layered hearts.

Love matting and matted all elements and thought the black card stock would help pop up the pictures and elements as I used a lot of patterned paper.

Do you want to build a snowman

The kids and I love the new Disney Movie Frozen. I think it is safe to say we've watched it every weekend. We love the songs! Here in Ontario we have had a lot of snow and really cold days. I decided to play with Fancy Pants Timbergrove. I love the colors! They remind me of hot chocolate and building a snowman from when I was a child. The pictures are from the fabulous Barb Weir Photography

Using my cricut I cut out various sizes of flags and snowflakes.

I layered and popped the flags. Added gems in the snowflakes

Inked and distressed with Tim Holtz inks.

The plan was to lightly emboss with some pears and well that didn't work out. So I know have a snow effect on the page.

You, Me, Love ....

Last Friday I went to the SGD Friday night crop! A couple of hours with those ladies and oh my my ... the inspiration! Everyone was working on a February aka Valentine's project and I decided to give it a whirl. I picked up the new Crate Paper line and used January Sketch 1 from Let's Get Sketchy for my page.

I decided to add the deeper color cardstock to help give it a pop.

I am in love with the chipboard elements

Inked and popped the banner

Love love love the look of the stamped date.
