A room of one's own....

So it has been a crazy couple of days for me and scrapbooking. I am so thankful Dave is patient and we have a kids table for the kids to eat so I can create. There has been contest, challenges, gift making and card making happening at my place. Figured I'd show how crazy/messy I get when creating!!!
yes I am using the kids table here but I would like to add that this picture is taken at 1 in the morning! lol
Had to find the perfect pieces of paper so took out all my stacks!
decided to paint and mist my own flowers for layouts!

CK Party!!!

Creative Keepsakes Magazine was celebrating having 40K fans so starting this morning at 9 am (MST) the giveaways and challenges began! There was also the chance to chat it up with some members of the dream team! Which was awesome! I completed two layouts! The first was a border challenge! I used border options from my Memory Makers Reminiscence Accent cartridge which really worked out well! My EK punch and my Fiskars scissors and punch. I had fun and it really forced me to thinking quickly! I had been dying to use my Three Bugs in a Rug paper! I can't remember where I got the Girl lettering but I think I did pretty well!

The Second Challenge was a circle challenge. I had just got the new BoBunny Zoology line and was very excited to use it! Now when I saw the challenge I knew immediately what I wanted to do. But for some odd reason time escaped me and found myself with 15 minutes to complete the layout before the challenge ended. So my loving husband helped me cut out the circles and glue them on to the black backing!!! What a guy I tell you :)

For You Card

Decided to slap together a little card to say Thank you and Happy Father's Day! This was my first time embossing with white...let's just say might double think that one next time!

A special gift!

A few months ago my sister and I went to an all day crop! I was so very excited! It would be the first day since Charlie was born that I was going to be away for the whole day! I packed my entire scrapping supplies including that of my sister's and headed out. After three trips into the building we were set to start! Now we were so excited to meet new people we each only completed two pages! in 8 hours two pages while others completed albums! But we had a blast! During this day I made a special page about my grand-parents. I was so very proud of it! My parents dropped in to see us at the end, my mother was so touched by the layout she shed a few tears! Later when showing some family, someone suggested framing it for my grand father. As my mother is heading up north to visit him I decided to frame it for him but also add a few other frames!

Here is my first picture with my beautiful Sophie. I used Paper received from my SGD June page kit. I also used my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, Tim Holtz, and BoBunny stamp. The pearl bling is from Kaiser Craft.

This picture is of my handsome son Casey. The bling is from the dollar store and the embellishments again is from my SGD page kit.The paper is from Kaiser Craft (red). Black and White card stock. The stamp I used on the white card stock is one of my favorite and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. I'll look!

Last but not least my baby Charlie. Background paper from my SGD kit. Ribbon from Kaiser Craft and the stripped paper from BasicGrey. The bling dollar store. Again using my favorite stamp (name unknown for the moment.) and my new favorite Tim Holtz stamp! The brads are from MME. All of my stamping is done with Cat'sEye brown ink. I use 3M Glue Dots or stick.

Bo Bunny Challenge!!!

Today is a day filled with firsts!

So here is my first attempt at submitting a card sketch challenge on the Bo Bunny blog! The sketch was designed by Janis Medina-Maghinay.

I was so very excited to get the new Zoology! That I decided to give it a try :)

My new trend for me right now is paper tearing! And giving it the distressed look!
Just a bit of a close up! Not bad for a first attempt if I do say so!
