Inspiration :)
I was tickled pink to see that Willea was a guest designer at Scrap That this past month!
Inspired by Shona
Shona is one of my favorite Canadian Artist. I actually joined an awesome kit club Scrap That because of her! She has amazing talent!
Bobunny Challenge ~ Last Let's Scrap DT reveal
This is my last week as DT for Let's Scrap! I loved my time as DT but looking forward to seeing what the new team has in store for us! Life has been crazy, busy and stressful the last couple of weeks and sadly could not focus as much as I would have loved to. However, I did decide to incorpoarte my last DT design with a BoBunny Challenge. I think the difficulty I have when it comes to two page sketches is using more than one photo. I get so wrapped up in the creative process that I often only focus on one picture. Which leaves me with my other problem! Journalling! Again I get so wrapped up in the creative part that I don't journal on the page. Instead most times I attach a picture to the back of my page with my journalling. So this weeks sketch for Let's Scrap and BoBunny Challenge of journal a week of your life was perfect. Using the new Enchanted Line I Journaled my week and the space for pictures were used as Journal spots. I think I will continue with this as I have kept a journal of the kids since they were little and I have odds and ends of things said here and there that I would like to put in. I LOVE the way this challenge and sketch came together for me!
Here are all my journalling squares of my week.

Remember this ---- Pencil Lines Sketch 258
I started to work with this sketch weeks ago...but as always life gets in the way! The picture used is one taken of my daddy and I in the fall of 1979. I used one of my many favorite BoBunny Paper lines for this page. As I love the rich colors. I really need to invest in a new journalling pen or a better way to display my journalling as I have included some on the blue strip below the picture. For the life of me I can't remember what company created the button and twine embelishements but they are fabulous. Used my new cricut to cut out small leaves to add to the mix. The fabulous sketch is from Pencil Lines.
Happy Birthday Naveah ~ Elmo loves you
Two weeks ago Dave, the kids and I were invited to Naveah's first birthday party! I can't remember the last time I have actually bought a card! I was very happy however, that I made this cute elmo card for Naveah. I used various plain colored cardstock and put to good use my Seasame Street Cricut Cartridge. I used some of the kids extra craft supplies for the nose and eyes to pop out. Then added the glitter glue to the letter N to make it pop some more!

Timeless
The last couple of weeks have been crazy! And I finally have some time to post quickly today. I love! love! love! Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection. I decided to use the last of my collection to play along with the girls at Stuck On U Sketches. I love the sketch and how it gave me the chance to incorporate pieces made with my new tools! I got a new Cricut! and a new Prima distressing Tool!!!!! What a good way to end the day! I am still working on using more than one photo per layout. I don't know why I have such difficulty with this??? But here is another attempt. The first picture to the left is one of my sister and I back in 1984 before a Christmas Party and the photo on the right is that of my sister and I again in 2006 at my wedding. I did a lot of layering and distressing. I also inked the edges with a bonus ink I received from last week SGD sale! Now what I have really realized is that I definitely need a better camera! Maybe Santa will bring me one for Christmas!

An Angel to color
Still trying to get my practice when coloring! Decided to try this great Kraftin' Kimmie stamp. Using Bobunny paper and my favorite scrip stamp colored this lovely lady and added stickles to give her hair the shine.
Oh Baby
I have discovered that I love to color. I find it very calming. I had tried to scrapbook for an hour each night instead of watching T.V like a friend suggested but I made too much of a mess. So I am now coloring and I LOVE IT. I also love the Kraftin Kimmie stamps because they reflect each of my personality. Although I wish I had their bodies but I love the stamp. Working with my BoBunny paper I stamped the back paper with a script stamp and colored this sexy lady in.
CPS
Last year a select few people received a home made Christmas card and I was pretty proud of them! The response I got was amazing so this year I decided to make my own cards for everyone. OMG I counted and so far I need about 75 cards! Yikes! Thanks to CPS sketch I think I found the style I am going for! I am waiting to get a Christmas sentiment stamp but I love the look of this card. I used my Midnight frost from Bobunny, inked my edges with Tim Holtz and stamped scripted text and used Viva pearl. a few foam dots and voila! Thanks for stopping by!

Delight in the little things~ November Kit
Delightinthelittlethings, a photo by lynnshaffer7 on Flickr.
Best way to spend the day is with Lori and Sheila at the SGD crop! Watching these two ladies really gets my creative mojo going! Now I have to say I was sooo excited to get to the crop that I forgot to bring my paper matched to my pictures. Thank God I was at a scrapbooking store in which I could buy anything my little heart desired but Lori and Sheila took pity on me (uh...that or the fact that I was hovering over them...until they let me have my kit!!!) he he he.... Oh I was in heaven! There is so many wonderful goodies in this kit!!!! The colors FANTASTIC! So here is a picture of my Casey on the hottest day this past winter with his hat on! Just a quick post tonight...as tomorrow is Monday and back to work I go! I work to support my scrapbooking habit! LMAO!
Eva Pin Up and Pin it down...
My GF Andrea loves making cards and loves her Copics. She is such an inspiration! She really however, knows how to hook a girl on product! She got me hooked on Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and Copics. I have not taken any Copic lessons. I've watched Andrea's tutorials and read a book. But decided to give it a try with this weeks challenge which was to use pins. I love a challenge and really need to get my Christmas cards out and wanted to try something fun! I used kraft cardstock, red cardstock, BoBunny paper, glimmer buttons, flowers from... (it will come to me) and pins from my stash or more than likely something I received from Michelle or SGD kit. I can't tell you what colors I used (I'll get better I promise) but right now just trying to practice! But I had soo much fun with this girl!
Sisters & Scrap That
sisters, a set on Flickr.
Friday I had a great surprise when I opened my door! There was my October Scrap that Kit! So I grabbed my kit and off to work I went. Once at work I think I showed everyone my kit! Today I finally got some time to play and decided to create this page. These pictures are taken of my sister Michelle and I when we were kids. I love all the yummy paper included in the kit and decided to do some stamping and distressing adding Prima flowers and bling! I loved all the soft colors of this kit.
Once Upon a Sketch
One of my biggest issues is journaling. My intentions are always well and good...but I get so wrapped up in the creative process that sometimes I forget to journal. Recently I've been creating peek a boo journaling or adding tags. However, I Love the concept of Once Upon a Sketch as it really does force me to journal. The sketch this week (as always) is amazing and the minute I saw it I knew what I wanted to do! Journalling Criteria: This time you need to journal at least 2 SENTENCES on WHEN you started scrapping and WHY?Although I seem to always find inspiration from my beautiful children it was because of my husband that I started scrapbooking and simply put it was because I wanted to record our life together. My first page was of us back in 2006 but I just couldn't get into it ...until 2009 after I had been blessed with children.
For this page I did some stamping using a Kaiser stamp, Prima flowers and bling. Pion paper and various cardstock.
